: Based on the Shanghai Grand Theatre's dance production of the same name, White Snake is China's first XR virtual production of a stage drama, which is a brand-new interpretation of this folk legend thousands of years old. Starring China and the world’s greatest artists, the film has managed to transform stage language into cinematic one and integrates ballet with Chinese dance, modern dance, and Wushu (martial arts) in the wake of a revival of sublime Chinese aesthetics in the country’s performing arts scene.
