: Liu Mingchuan in Taiwan truly presents the historical legend of Liu Mingchuan, an Anhui native from the late Qing Dynasty, who conquered Taiwan and developed the treasure island. The creative team visited France, Vietnam, Japan, mainland China and Taiwan for shooting, collected the original documentation about the Sino-French War in western countries, in addition to have a more comprehensive point of view. This documentary pays attention to combine historical record and practical feasibility, as well as the influence it made to our current life. With the background of the world and history, accurately position Liu Mingchuan's historical achievements in developing the treasure island and give the connotation of the new era.
