Description

: During the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty (1131-1162, reign name: Shaoxing), Xin Qiji, full of chivalries and patriotic feelings, witnessed the fall of northern China and the wars in the Central Plains, which made the masses have no means to live. Determined to recover the lost Central Plains and drive the Jurchens out of the north for the sake of national unity, he gathered 2,000 villagers and joined Geng Jing’s volunteer army against the Jin army.
