Description

: Lee Byung-hun, Ha Jung-woo and Ma Tong-seok have confirmed their participation in the new film Ashfall which will be directed by Lee Hae-jun (director of Castaway on the Moon) and Kim Byung-seo. Currently, the details of the film are being adjusted. The film tells that a volcano is about to erupt on Baekdu Mountain located on the Chinese-North Korean border. Facing the threat of imminent eruption, a team of uniquely trained professionals from South Korea and North Korea unite. Lee Byung-hun plays the role of North Korean personnel who prevents the eruption of the volcano, while Ha Jung-woo plays a South Korean leader, cooperating with Lee Byung-hun. Ma Tong-seok plays a scientist. It is reported that about 20 billion won will be invested in the film, and shooting will begin early next year.
