In March 2003, Han Geng, who was only 19 years old, went to South Korea to join SM Entertainment as a trainee. In November 2005, SM Entertainment launched the group Super Junior, catering to the Asian entertainment market. At the beginning of the year, Super Junior held a concert in Seoul, Korea, and Nanjing and Chengdu in China. In March, Super Junior released their third album and started a series of promotional events. On May 1, Super Junior participated in the "Jackie Chan and Friends" concert in the Beijing National Stadium. On September 14, SJ-M released their second album and their "Super Girl" music video. Afterward, Han Geng led his members to Mainland China and Taiwan to attend several promotional events. On December 21, Han Geng officially submitted a request to the Seoul Central District Court to terminate his contract with SM Entertainment.
